Joachim Jensen

Co Managing Director

Joachim is one of our two commanders-in-chief. He became a part of VCIC in the fall of 2018 driven by his interest in innovation and the start-up environment. Besides his commitment to ensuring the future of VCIC Denmark, he holds a BSc in Business administration and Project management at Copenhagen Business School and has previously worked as a project assistant in his internship at Novo Nordisk. Joachim is currently studying his master in Strategy, Organization and Leadership at Copenhagen Business School.

Rasmus Bæk

Co Managing Director

Rasmus is one of our two commanders in chief. He became a part of VCIC at the beginning of 2019 due to his interests within venture capital and start-ups. Rasmus holds a BSc in Business Administration and Project Management at Copenhagen Business School, and he is currently studying a MSc in Finance and Strategic Management. He is employed at ALDI Denmark as a project manager and responsible, where he tailors project management tools to achieve a higher degree of professionalism within the company. Rasmus does also bring experience from the consulting business, and he does, therefore, provide a wide range of competencies.

Dania Abas

Head of Legal Affairs

Dania is the Head of Legal Affairs. She became a part of the VCIC team in 2019 due to her drive and passion for the startup environment. She is currently on her last year of BSc in Business Administration and Commercial Law at Copenhagen Business School. Apart from her studies she is founder and CEO of her own startup.

Simone Raymonde Garcia

Head of Finance

Simone is our Financial Planner and accounting enthusiast. She became a part of the VCIC team in the fall of 2019, due to her interest in venture capital and the financial industry. Simone is currently studying BSc in Economics and Business Administration at Copenhagen Business School. Having completed 5 semesters in BSc Business, Language and Culture from CBS, she also brings along knowledge about the interplay between business and culture.

Mads Hønberg

Corporate Relations

With a strong analytical focus, Mads is the number cruncher on the VCIC team. Mads has a background from Intellishore within Data and Business Insights, while he also enjoys an interest in the VC space. Mads is currently engaged in his masters degree at the Technical University of Denmark, where he pursues Industrial Engineering and Management studies. Mads has also become a true globetrotter, while on exchange at the University of Hong Kong.

Noel Ugochukwu Søgaard

Entrepreneurial Relations

Noel is the start-up’s best friend and our PowerPoint-hero! He joined VCIC in the fall of 2019 due to his knowledge and passion for startups and financial services. Besides helping our start-ups prepare business materials and presentations for the competition, he is finishing BSc in Business Administration & Project Management from Copenhagen Business School with an exchange at the London School of Economics. After an internship at Bloomberg’s analytics team in London, he returned to Denmark and can be found conducting analysis and due diligence of private equity investments, as a junior analyst, for Sampension’s Alternative Investments unit.

ADVISORY BOARD

Bastian Broby Glavind

Advisory Board President

Bastian joined VCIC in the spring of 2016 due to his knowledge and passion for the start-up environment and has since then been an active member, running the organisation in 2018 until ultimately stepping into the board in 2019. Besides his commitment to ensuring the future of the organization, he holds a BSc in business administration & entrepreneurship from Copenhagen Business School and can currently be found working within Danske Bank New Ventures driving innovation through new products, services, partnerships and venture capital looking beyond traditional banking.

Frederik Kehler

Advisory Board Treasurer

Joined VCIC in 2017, now spearheads the effort in scouting startups, seeking funding and controlling the visual identity of VCIC Denmark. With more than eight years of proven experience within startups and digital media, Frederik has pushed through the regular glass ceiling of entrepreneurship, having worked with big brands such as Apple, Elgiganten & ISS but also small danish startups such as cricket juice from Syngja. Frederik earned a graduate degree from CBS in 2018 and now leads an insurtech startup within fire safety funded by e.g. the Danish Innovation Fund.

Kasper Abildgaard Svendsen

Advisory Board Member

Kasper has been part of VCIC since early 2015 driven by his passion for startups and the venture capital industry. He ran the organization in 2017 and 2018 and is now an active member of the Advisory Board. Furthermore, Kasper holds a degree in Project Management & Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and is currently busy with his tech startup. He has previously built and developed ventures in New York, Scandinavia, Mongolia and Ghana.

Tue Vestergaard Andersen

Advisory Board Member

Tue served as the Managing Director of VCIC in 2016, but now functions as our guardian angel and advisor. Tue’s background is within investment banking and e-business with both experiences from start-up ventures as well as several years with Danske Bank where he now has taken on the responsibility of product manager in their innovation unit Moonshots in Payments.

Mads Ejstrup Frederiksen

Advisory Board Member

Mads has been part of VCIC since 2014 and ran the organization in 2015. Mads has been an active part of the Danish startup ecosystem through several roles, first in Denmark's largest incubator, Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship and subsequently on the investor side via Voluntas Group. He is now Head of Strategy in Templafy and based in New York. Mads holds a B.sc and M.sc in Finance from Copenhagen Business School.
